Lesson 16 - Counting 1 to 10
Today, we're going to cover counting zero through ten. Counting is very straightforward in Bulgarian, so let's jump right in!
0 is нула (nula)

9 is девет (devet)

девет (devet)
10 is десет (deset)
десет (deset)
десет (deset)
Counting things is not as simplified in Bulgarian as it is in English because Bulgarian nouns have singular and plural forms as well as gender. In case of the word for "person," the gender is masculine.
For example, "one person" is един човек (edin chovek).
The number comes first and is followed by the object, in this case, "person."
един човек (edin chovek)
един човек (edin chovek)
If there are two people, we say двама човека (dvama choveka).
двама човека (dvama choveka)
двама човека (dvama choveka)

Outro

Very well, to wrap up today's lesson, we’d like for you to practice what you just learned. I’ll provide you with the English equivalent of the phrase, and you’re responsible for saying it out loud. You’ll have few seconds before I give you the answer. So, Успех! (Uspeh!) that means "Good luck!" in Bulgarian. Ok, here we go!
