Hi everyone! I’m Alisha.
Welcome to Conversational Phrases!
We’ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that you’ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to use when talking with friends. After watching this video, you’ll be able to have a casual conversation with a friend, and to say something is “super.”
Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases!
Listen to the dialogue.
Хей, виж онази кола! (Hey, vizh onazi kola!)
Еха, супер яка е! (Eha, super yaka e!)
Once more with the English translation.
Хей, виж онази кола! (Hey, vizh onazi kola!)
“Hey, look at that car!”
Еха, супер яка е! (Eha, super yaka e!)
“Wow, that's super cool!”
First of all you'll need to learn how to say “Hey, look at that car!”
That's:
Хей, виж онази кола! (Hey, vizh onazi kola!)
Listen to it again:
Хей, виж онази кола!, Хей, виж онази кола! (Hey, vizh onazi kola!, Hey, vizh onazi kola!)
“Hey, look at that car!”
Now, how do you respond to this?
First of all, you’ll need to learn how to say “wow” . That’s
eха, eха (eha, eha)
Then, you’ll need to learn how to say “That’s super [adjective].”
The pattern is:
Супер [adjective] е. (Super [adjective] e.)
This Bulgarian sentence literally translates as "Super [adjective] is." The adjective will change depending of the gender of the noun. But it means “That's super [adjective].”
For example:
“Wow, that's super cool!”
Еха, супер яка е!, Еха, супер яка е! (Eha, super yaka e!, Eha, super yaka e!)
