Cultural Insight
Becky: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Petar: In the days past, when the whole family was using one landline phone, people would answer the phone by saying their name, or the family name. But nowadays, a lot of households rely solely on mobile phones. Therefore, you would probably call a specific person and he or she is the one to answer directly. Thus, names are no longer said out loud, when answering the phone. Most often people will answer the phone by saying Ало (Alo) meaning "Hello" when answering the phone or Да, моля, which literally means "Yes, please."

Outro

Becky: And that’s all for this lesson and this series. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes. Thank you for listening, everyone.
